Our Mission

Empower individuals from Ethnic Minorities, Youth, the Unemployed and Economically Inactive with the skills to improve their income status and create employment opportunities, by adapting traditional rural methodologies, tools and equipment to the urban context to improve project efficiencies.

Income Deprivation

Income deprivation first affects children's health and well-being.

Around 4% of Dudley’s population is usually unemployed, while another 20% are classified as ‘economically inactive’ and are expected to contribute little or nothing to the city’s economy.

The possible contribution of almost 25% of Dudley's 'economically inactive' population, could significantly impact local, neighbourhood economies if they were skilled to ensure reliable food security for their households and were enabled to provide the basic services that could satisfy local demand for furniture repair and maintenance, domestic plumbing repairs and upkeep, lighting and electricity repairs and the repairs and maintenance of domestic electronic gadgets…to name a few.

Acquiring these skills requires training to ensure technical processes and quality standards are understood and met and are supported by a robust and responsive marketing system for the sale of goods produced and services offered.

Creating entrepreneurs with the skills, qualifications and business sense to earn an income independently or be employed by local businesses is the primary goal of Terrapro-International.
