TerraPro’s vocational education and skills development programme offers two levels of training, both of which aim at creating entrepreneurs in the subject of their choice.
The first level provides the learner with a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter being taught and the skill set required to start and manage a project successfully.
Training is initiated with a 2-day programme that starts with a focus on creating a food-secure environment that benefits children and their families. The training is followed up by accompanying the entrepreneur in implementing the project over a 4-week period.
Training to develop other vocational skills offered by TerraPro is optional.
Innovations
In addition to providing training in horticulture, the programme embeds ESOL into the instruction to ensure learners have the skills required to effectively manage an enterprise in the current business environment.
